"The inspiration for Philip Kupferschmidt's work comes from nature, both micro and macro: plants, animals, but also fungi, microbiology, the cosmos." These pieces are wheel-thrown, each one unique, and then meticulously hand-glazed with different blends created by the artist himself. Almost all pieces undergo three or four firings.
